Niabi Zoo Animal Presentation

April 9: Niabi Zoo will be bringing a cast of exotic mammals, birds, and reptiles for a truly "wild" show! Intergenerational Art Workshop

Pancake & Sausage Supper

Agnes of God

April 22-24: The NIU School of Theatre and Dance will be performing this science versus faith story at the Stevens Building Corner Theatre from April 22nd through the 24th. The story is about a nun who gives birth to a baby, but claims she was unaware of the pregnancy, and that the child was the result of virgin conception. The psychiatrist the nun is ordered to see is of atheist belief, which results in conflict for everyone involved. The show starts at 7:30pm all three nights. March For Babies

April 24:  Put on your walking shoes and get ready to help! It's time for the annual March of Dimes fund-raiser the DeKalb County March for Babies. NIU Huskie Spring Football Game

April 24:  The annual spring football game gets a pre-game kick-off with the Huskie Athletic Scholarship Fund Tailgate Showdown starting at 11:00 on the west side of Huskie Stadium. NIU Convo Colossal Spring Sweep Sale

April 24-25: Are you ready to kick off garage sale season in an ENORMOUS way? Whether it be antiques, collectibles, sports cards, arts, crafts, garage sale items, and all else under the sun, the NIU Convocation Center is hosting the 2nd Annual “Convo’s Colossal Clean Sweep” on Saturday, April 24th from 9-3pm and Sunday, April 25th from 9-2pm. Admission will be $1 for adults and free for children 6 and under.

Vendors are encouraged to register by Monday, April 1st. Only indoor space will be available for rent, and depending on whether you are a commercial or non-commercial vendor, rental fees range from $20-100. The rental fee covers both Saturday and Sunday. Assistance with loading in and loading out of vendor merchandise is available.

Reserve your spot today by downloading a registration form from the NIU Convocation Center website, www.niuconvo.com, or pick up a registration form at the NIU Convocation Center Box Office. All vendors must fill out a registration form and return it to the NIU Convocation Center. Vendors can bring the registration form to the NIU Convocation Center Box Office, fax it to 815-752-6801, or mail it to 1525 W Lincoln Hwy, DeKalb, IL 60115.

Books & Breakfast

April 25: Join the Friends of Maple Park Library for the annual fundraiser breakfast! A variety of breakfast favorites will be served, such as pancakes and biscuits and gravy. The cost is $5 for ages 5 and up, and kids under 4 are free! There will also be a silent auction with items from local merchants as well.
