Kishwaukee Symphony Orchestra Spring Concert

Hinckley Historical Society Dinner and Auction
May 1: This 3rd Annual Dinner and Auction benefits the Hinckley Historical Society's new museum. The evening will include dinner, dancing, entertainment, and drinks! Tickets are $20 and the event will be held at the Hinckley-Big Rock High School at 5PM.

Egyptian Theatre Haunted Tour
May 1: Take a tour guided by The Illinois Ghost Hunters and be informed of the paranormal activity and ghost sightings that have taken place! Also, you will be able to investigate the ghosts and sightings and hopefully experience some paranormal events yourself!
The event starts at 11:30PM at the Egyptian Theatre. Buy tickets in advance for $35.00, or $40.00 after April 26th. Participants are recommended to bring a flashlight, and participants under the age of 18 will need a legal parent or guardian to be with you at all times. This event is not recommended for children under 16.

Indy Horror Film Festival

Sycamore's Cinco De Mayo
May 2: 13th Annual Sycamore’s Cinco de Mayo festival to benefit local non profit Organizations. Long standing tradition in the Sycamore community and all of DeKalb County. Raised over $65,000 throughout the years. Family fun for everyone: Petting Zoo, Pony Rides, Live Music, Traditional Dance, Kids Games, prizes, Piñatas, Moon Walk, Margarita Bar and more! Meals for Moms
May 3: Voluntary Action Center is holding its Third Annual Meals for Moms Luncheon to benefit Meals on Wheels. The served luncheon will be held on Monday, May 3, 2010 from 11:30-1:30 pm at St. Mary’s Memorial Hall in Sycamore. Lunch will be severed by our own “Celebrity Wait Staff” of DeKalb County. The cost is $25.00 per ticket or $150.00 for a table of 8. Mark your calendar for this fun-filled afternoon! Glidden Homestead Open House/Open Barn

Mayor's Memorial Breakfast
May 31: Major William L. Hotopp (ILARNG) will meet with several Mayors, other officials and the public on Memorial Day, Monday morning May 31st, at the 2010 Mayor’s Memorial Day Breakfast. The breakfast will take place at Carls Fargo Restaurant, 355 W. State Street in Sycamore.
